                                FALL 2009

Dear Prospective Students and Parents,

We at Stubbs' Music Center are beginning our 40th year of providing the
best music educaton to the Tallahassee community and surrounding areas.
Music is the only universal language that is available to us; therefore,
when it comes to choosing your student's actvities it is our hope that
music instruction will be one of the actvities that is chosen.  Through
music classes and private instruction this universal language will be
taught by one of our faculty of twenty professional music educators
within the finest facilities available.

Music education is a vital part of every person's life.  We strive to
prepare our students of all ages to reach his/her greatest potential and

to become actively involved in the music that surrounds our lives.  More
than 2,000 years ago, Plato said: "Music is a more potent instrument
than any other for education, and children should be taught music before
anything else."

KINDERMUSIK CLASSES are available for infants through seven years of
age.  Kindermusik is elegant in its integrated approach to a child's
development.  Mary Kurcinka, and international family educator and
author, made the following remarks.  "Kindermusik brings parents and
children together for fun and education.  The learning is active,
engaging and developmetally appropriate.  Children are exposed to
diverse learning materials and are provided with rich opportunites for
hands-on experiences with developmentally appropriate instruments.  The
joy  is in the process of learning and the result is children who are
more attuned in reaching their full potential."

Enclosed you will find our schedule of FALL semester classes for
Kindermusik, recreational music and piano.  Private lesson times are
available in piano, voice, violin, guitar, composition, trumpet,
trombone, bass, saxophone, flute, clarinet, oboe recorder, and
percussion.  Instruction is taught and billed by the semester.  At the
time enrollmet a Payment Option form is completed that you will
indicate whether you will be paying by cash, check, Visa or Master
Charge.  We do provide after school pick-up from schools listed on the
registration form.  The fee for this service is $5 per week for all schools
except Gilchrist which is $3.50.

If we can be of service to you in any way, please call us at 893-8754 or
stop by Monday through Thursday between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  We
are available on Fridays, Saturedays and early morning and after five by
appointment.

Making music instruction a part of your activities is making a great
educational decision!

Sincerly,
